The results for the PLAB 1 exam, held on 7th November 2024, have officially been released. As always, StudyPLAB students have upheld the tradition of excellence with an outstanding pass rate in the exam.
How to check PLAB 1 results
The General Medical Council (GMC) will send you an email with access to the ‘My Tests’ section of the GMC online portal. Simply log in with your GMC reference number and password to view your results.
You will get your total score, the passing score for the exam, and the average score for all candidates. Please note that GMC does not provide results over the phone or in person.
How does GMC determine your PLAB 1 score?
GMC sets the pass mark using the internationally recognised Angoff method and includes one standard error of measurement. For each correct answer, you will receive one mark, and your final score will be the total number of correct answers.
Cracking the PLAB 1 exam is a significant milestone for medical graduates looking to practice in the UK. The next step is the PLAB 2, a practical exam that assesses your ability to apply medical knowledge and skills in a clinical setting.
